Privacy Policy
Last updated August 30, 2026. This policy explains what information this website collects and what we do with it.
1. Overview
SmileBites (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates this website as an informational resource about our business. We do not sell anything or process payments through this website.
This policy describes the limited information we collect here, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using this website you agree to the practices described below.
2. Information we collect
We collect very little. Specifically:
- Information you choose to send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content of your message.
- Event details you send when you inquire — the date, the venue or location, an approximate guest count, and any dietary requirements or allergies we need to plan around.
- Basic technical information collected automatically by our hosting provider, such as browser type, device type, approximate region and pages visited. This keeps the site working and helps us understand general usage.
We do not ask for, and this website does not collect, payment card details, financial account information, government identification numbers or any similar sensitive information.
This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of thirteen.
3. How we use information
We use the information you send us in order to:
- Respond to your message or inquiry.
- Prepare a menu and a quote for your event, and cater it safely.
- Communicate with you about an ongoing business relationship.
- Maintain and improve this website.
- Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not use the information you send through this website to send you marketing messages unless you have specifically asked us to.
4. Sharing information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes.
We share information only with the service providers that help us operate — for example our website host and our email provider — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law, or where it is necessary to protect our rights, property or safety.
5. Cookies and analytics
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function correctly. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not track you across other websites.
We use a privacy-friendly analytics service provided by our website host to understand which pages are visited and how often. It records aggregate information only — such as the page viewed, the general type of device and the country of the visit. It does not use cookies, does not create a profile of you, and cannot be used to identify you personally.
We also record which parts of a page people find useful — for example that a menu was opened, that a question in our frequently asked questions was expanded, or that someone followed a link to contact us. These are counts of actions, not records of people: they are not linked to you, to your device or to anything you typed, and we never record the content of an email address or any other detail you copy from this site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings, though parts of this or any other website may not work correctly if you do. Browser privacy features and content blockers will also prevent the analytics described above from recording your visit.
6. How long we keep information
We keep messages and business correspondence only for as long as they are useful for the purpose they were sent, or for as long as we are required to keep them for tax, accounting or legal reasons. After that they are deleted.
7. Security
This website is served over an encrypted connection, and we limit access to messages sent through it to the people who need to read them. No method of transmitting information over the internet is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
You are never required to send us anything through this website. If you have sent us a message and would like it removed, or would like to know what we hold, simply contact us and ask.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional legal rights over your personal information — such as the right to request a copy, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We honor these requests regardless of where you live. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable period, and in any event within the time required by applicable law.
9. Links to other websites
This website may link to websites and social media profiles we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date shown at the top of this page. Please check back occasionally.
